Azerbaijan plays an important role in connecting Europe with Central Asia
H.E. Inga Ruginienė, Prime Minister of Lithuania

Caspian Energy (CE): Your Excellency, following your high-level meetings in Baku, which specific sectors - such as energy transition, transport corridors, or trade - do you believe have gained the most momentum, and what do you see as the most significant outcomes of this visit?

Inga Ruginienė, Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania: The visit helped bring practical momentum to several priority areas, particularly transport and connectivity, energy cooperation, and trade. We see clear potential in linking our regions more closely through logistics corridors, including stronger integration between the Caspian region and the Baltic Sea.

Another important outcome is a more structured political dialogue, which creates the conditions for long-term cooperation. In today’s geopolitical environment, what matters most is turning political understanding into tangible, mutually beneficial projects, and this visit has moved us further in that direction.
