Caspian Energy (CE): How would you assess the current priorities of the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation in strengthening connectivity across the Maldives?

Mohamed Ameen, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation of the Republic of Maldives: The Maldives depends on strong and reliable connections between islands, atolls, and our main economic centers. Our main focus now is to make these connections more reliable, affordable, and consistent for everyone.

We are expanding scheduled ferry services and air connectivity across the country so that people in every atoll have access to safe and dependable travel. Our goal is to connect the entire Maldives, creating a nationwide public transport network that brings every community closer together.
