In August 2017, “Mayak-2” petrol station owned by Azpetrol Company won the “The best petrol station of the month” contest held among CIS states by “Sovremennaya AZS” (Moscow) (translates as “Modern petrol station”) journal which is published for the CIS states. The award was presented to the General Director of Azpetrol LLC Ltd Jeyhun Mammadov in the city of Moscow on 19 April 2018.
It bears reminding that Azpetrol has won such contests before. Thus, in March 2015, the petrol station owned by the company and located at 108 Heydar Aliyev Avenue won the “The best petrol station of the month” contest held among CIS states and announced by the above mentioned journal.
Apart from this, “Mingachevir-2” petrol station owned by Azpetrol was announced the “Best petrol station of the year” in the CIS as part of the contest announced by the “Sovremennaya AZS” journal late in 2015.
It is noteworthy that Azpetrol Company started operating by opening its first petrol station at the former Tbilisi Avenue (present Moscow) on 15 July 1997. The core business of the company is to arrange a wholesale and retail sale of petrol in Azerbaijan.
To date, there are 83 petrol stations and 5 gas filling stations operating in the whole republic.
Petrol stations of the company are also providing clients with technical maintenance, car wash and other technical services. There are also cafes, shops, motels and other facilities operating within the stations. The Company has launched the “Petrol Plus Offline” cash-free payment system since 2001. Taking into account that the number of clients using this service exceeded 6,000 people, since 2011 Azpetrol Company has started introducing “Petrol Plus Online” program which was more modern and reliable in terms of security. Since 2006 the Company made it possible for its customers to make payments by Master Card, Euro Card and Visa Card at its petrol stations.
Azpetrol Company is successfully implementing a new development program which envisages introduction of the comprehensive system including three major lines such as quality management system (İSO-9001:2015), environmental management (İSO-14001:2015), and operational health and safety system (OHSAS – 18001:2007).
Azpetrol motels providing high-level service to visitors are operating in Shaki, Balakan, Gusar, Beylagan, Ganja, Mingachevir and Gazakh to ensure comfort of clients and guests.
During the past years, Azpetrol Company received international and local awards for its achievements. Noteworthy among them are “Ughur”, “Business-prestige”, Caspian Energy Integration Award”, “Caspian Business Award-2016”, “Caspian Energy Award -2017”, “International Golden Star for Quality”, “Memorial medal of the queen Victoria”, etc.
The major goal of Azpetrol Company is to maintain current positions of the company in the private sector of Azerbaijan, and promote the development of economy through much higher achievements.
Azpetrol will provide a new type of fuel at petrol stations by the end of the year – Compressed Natural Gas.
