Caspian Energy: Mr. Rahimpour, how would you evaluate the results of the Summit of the Leaders of the Caspian littoral states in Astrakhan? Has the summit justified your expectations? 

Ibrahim Rahimpour, Deputy Foreign Minister for Asia and Pacific Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Special Representative of Iran for Caspian Affairs: The Astrakhan Summit has become one of the most successful meetings of the heads of the Caspian countries. We witnessed a considerable progress from the viewpoint of the number of signed documents and reached agreements. These agreements testify that the Caspian countries favourably treat general understanding of all the issues with regard to the Caspian Sea and show a positive political will towards their solution.
