Bakielektrikshebeke OJSC  celebrating its 85th jubilee

Large-scale industrialization work has been carried out in Azerbaijan for the past years. Owing to the construction of numerous industrial facilities, a strong potential has been created in the field of industry just like in other sectors of the economy. 

At present, a number of measures are being taken in the country with the purpose to diversify the non-oil sector and modernize the industry due to modern requirements. All of this led to attraction of natural and economic resources into the economic activity, creation, along with traditional industrial directions, of new priorities in production and industrial parks, growth of the economic potential in the regions as well as promoted development of opportunities for innovative development of the industry. 

It was the main purpose of announcing 2014 the Year of Industry in Azerbaijan in accordance with President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev’s order dated January 10, 2014. 

Due to the fulfillment of this order, Bakielektrikshebeke OJSC is undertaking measures to secure qualitative and uninterrupted supply of electricity to oil-gas, metallurgical, machine-building and other sectors of the economy. 

Bakielektrikshebeke OJSC has carried out the following work in terms of development of the oil-gas industry: reconstruction and commissioning of the 110/35/6 kV- 2х40 MVA substation #204 in Nizami district for electricity supply to the Heydar Aliyev oil refinery; ongoing reconstruction of the 35/6 kV-2х25 MVA substations #509 and #516 in Garadagh district for electricity supply to fields of Amirov OGPD; installation of a 35kV distributing unit and 2 units of 35/6 kV - 20+16 MVA transformers at Sangachaly 110/35/6 substation; launch of the 35/6 kV - 2х25 MVA substation #109 in Sabayil district after it has underwent reconstruction for securing electricity supply to Bibi-Heybat fields; reconstruction of 35/6kV substations #92 and #94 in Binagadi district for securing electricity supply to Binagadi Oil; ongoing reconstruction of the 35/6 kV substation #35 in Sabunchu district for securing electricity supply to fields of Balakhanyoil  OGPD; there are plans to commence reconstruction of the 6/0,4 kV distributing unit and a 6kV feed line owned by the OGPD at Pirallakhy settlement. 

Reconstruction of the 35/6 kV substation #190 is being carried out at Sabunchu district in order to improve power supply to the facilities of the machine-building industry. This substation is supplying electricity to Baku machine building and Oxygen plants. 

Reconstruction of the 110/35/10 kV - 2х40 MVA Hazi Aslanov substation (Khatai district) and the 35/6kV - 2х25 MVA substation #80 (Binagadi district) is being carried out for supplying qualitative and uninterrupted electricity to the facilities of the Baku Metro. According to the “White City” project, a 110/35/10kV-2х50 MVA White City Substation #210 is under consutruction at Khatai district. 

35/6kV substation #201is reconstructed and commissioned in Khatai district in order to improve power supply to water supply and sewerage systems. The work on reconstruction of the 35/6kV substation #80 is ongoing at Binagadi district. 

Operations on network enhancement are being performed in Garadagh district in order to improve electricity supply of stone quarries. For this purpose, 35 kV cable lines to the length of 35km have been laid. 12km long air transmission lines (35kV) underwent reconstruction. There are plans to carry out necessary activities for building 35kV and 6kV power networks. 

While performing operations aimed at improvement of power supply of the above-mentioned industrial facilities through 2014, Bakielektrikshebeke OJSC used domestic products. 

Some services were arranged and passed to Asan Xidmət in order to simplify network management and ensure comfort service. Owing to fulfilled activities, the procedures of services that Bakielektrikshebeke OJSC provides have been considerably simplified. Noteworthy is also the considerable reduction of the term of their fulfillment. Bakielektrikshebeke OJSC has built its work in compliance with the requirements of international standards and finds provision of high service to the citizens of the country to be the main task. In this regard, to ensure transparency and efficiency the OJSC is providing the following services to the population by means of Asan Xidmət: connection of domestic subsribers to the power network; provision of receipts about absence of the debt; replacement of the power consumer; investigation of subsriber payments; investigation of debts. Citizens can use these services by applying to Asan Xidmət center. 

There is a SCADA system ensuring remote-controlled operation of the network and functioning in the central control point of Bakielektrikshebeke OJSC. The radius of the SCADA system includes 26 high-voltage substations and electricity transmission lines built within the power network and operating as a part of the circular electrical scheme. 

Bakielektrikshebeke OJSC applies lots of payment methods for collection of electricity fees from the subscribers. At present, the subscribers make payment via bank and postal departments as well as via APUS, PayPoint systems and internet. Along with it, different strategies have been developed and introduced in order to provide subscribers information about electricity debts. The most advanced methods are applied in this process. Subscribers also get notifications by SMS. An information system SAP which is considered the advanced system both in the world and in the energy field is applied in order to ensure the management of all structural subdivisions of Bakielektrikshebeke OJSC via a single system. 

The emergency service 199 equipped with modern technical equipment including a 30 channel system (2 Mbit/s) was organized in the OJSC in order to improve the quality of service to the consumers. 

Bakielektrikshebeke OJSC which marks the 85th jubilee this year intends to continue ensuring uninterrupted supply of electricity to consumers and taking measures aimed at simplification of services that are rendered to the population.
