Caspian Energy (CE): Mr. Mansimov, what achievements has the company gained in the construction market of Azerbaijan?
Kamaladdin Mansimov, Director, Nabucco Architecture and Construction: Our Company was founded in 2009.
Construction of the cooling chamber in the town of Hudat was our first project financed within the framework of the credit allocated by the National Fund for Entrepreneurship Support under the Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan.
Starting from 2011 we have become an official Builder-Partner of the Swedish Company Lindab Buildings which designs buildings for business under the ASTRON trade mark.
We erected 19 retail facilities in the town of Shamkir in 2013. We did this job within a very short period of time - only 4 months. Now we are constructing a new plant in Azerbaijan.
CE: Which tasks does the company set and what distinguishes the buildings and facilities offered by the company?
Kamaladdin Mansimov: Our goal is to bring the most advanced technologies to Azerbaijan and to make our contribution to rapid development of Azerbaijan. Technologies we offer provide large free spans reaching up to 100m without intermediate supports. They are assembled very quickly and have a very high quality. Large free span is a mandatory requirement for sports and warehouse buildings.
ASTRON produces industrial and commercial buildings: plants, warehouses, sport complexes, trade centers, automobile sales centres, aviation hangars. Company designs and manufactures full set of the steel building: primary and secondary structures, roofing and wall systems, accessories and effective thermal insulation. ASTRON technologies provide practically unlimited opportunities for construction and creation of an individual architectural appearance of buildings. ASTRON provides up to 20 year warranty for its roof and wall panels. Apart from this, steel buildings of ASTRON have a very attractive design. Simply speaking they are more beautiful than other buildings made of steel structures.
ASTRON buildings are sold via the network of builder-partners numbering over 300 companies. The company has sold over 50,000 buildings in Europe, Russia and CIS states throughout a 50 year activity. Company produces about 1,000 tailor-made buildings every year. Nabucco Architecture and Construction is the only Builder-Partner of ASTRON in Azerbaijan.
CE: What kind of solutions does the company offer its clients?
Kamaladdin Mansimov: We provide turnkey construction services. Each building, starting from the anchor bolt right up to the last screw, is designed, produced and assembled by our high-skilled specialists. Only high-quality materials are used when constructing them. Every small detail is taken into account at stage of design.
Effective heat and sound insulation system enabling to maintain stable temperature inside of the room for a long period as well as to ensure protection from external noise. Compared to traditional solutions, Astron buildings provides a reduction of 26.7% of operational cost.
No screws are used in the seamed roofing system LMR600 and internal downpipe system that we offer. The innovative solutions make the roof panels resistant to temperature expansion. Besides, Aluzinc is applied in production of this roof panels, which enables to reflect 80% of light emission and prevent the overheating of the roofing. In CIS it is only our company that offers this solution. Thus, owing to engineering technology, all possible problems are solved by us at stage of design. LMR600 is a steel alternative for soft membrane roof systems.
An important advantage of steel buildings is the possibility of their dismantling and construction at a new place in case of necessity. The service life of such facilities is twice bigger than those of reinforced–concrete buildings. After the expiry of service life, the metal can be driven into the scrap metal yard. These buildings pose no environmental damage.
Construction of concrete takes more time and causes rise of the big amount of dust. When it comes to use of steel structures, instead of 100 trucks loaded with cement, sand and other construction materials, there are only 10 trucks loaded with metal constructions coming to the site. So, the facility is built without dust, mud and garbage within a short period of time.
Apart from this, buildings made of steel structures are more earthquake-resistant compared to concrete buildings.
We are able to build multistory buildings up to 22 floors.
CE: What about the price of the buildings?
Kamaladdin Mansimov: Our buildings cost no lower compared to the buildings made of concrete. However, customers obtain a number of advantages: low maintenance and repair costs, long durability and simplicity of operation, big opportunities of free planning, i.e. much higher functionality of buildings.
CE: What other engineering opportunities can the company offer in Azerbaijan?
Kamaladdin Mansimov: There are lots of modern solutions that our company offers. Say, we offer cassette wall systems. This technology was used in Azerbaijan while constructing the Heydar Aliyev Center. It provides full resistance to air and water passage.
Parking is one of the problems of the capital. We build multi-storied parking lots within a short period of time. We use very low amount of concrete and everything is produced of steel structures.
ASTRON buildings are represented in many countries. Big ice arenas in Astana, world brand hotels in Europe, big industrial buildings in Russia are our brand identities.
