The Oil and Gas Construction Trust (Trust) of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) is involved in renovation of oil-gas fields, installation of process oil-gas-field equipment, construction of main oil-gas-water pipelines, asphalt-concrete cover, hydrotechnical offshore and onshore structures, jackets, offshore piers, gas compressor stations, oil reservoirs and social construction projects. Trust incorporates 14 boards of various profiles and Representative Office in Georgia. As a Contractor, Trust provides all kinds of construction services to its customers in all the regions of Azerbaijan, including “Guneshli” and “Oil Rocks” fields, Gum Adasy, Pirallahy, Chilov, Khara-Zira islands and surrounding areas, as well as Sangachal-Duvanny area and other different regions.
Trust aims to perform all operations safely, with no damage to environment and high quality level according to the international standards. Since 2012, the Oil and Gas Construction Trust has been honored a number of international certificates in different years: TSE-ISO-EN 9001, TSE-ISO-EN 14001, TS-OHSAS 18001 and TS EN ISO/IEC 17025. As of April 01, 2014, the number of Trust employees counted 5424 people including workers 4225, managers 622, specialists 534 and other employees 43. Based on final assessment as of 01.04.2014, the average monthly salary reached 962 AZN.
In the first quarter of this year, Trust has performed construction-installation operations under the main contract in amount of 79974.6 th. AZN, and completed the scope worth of 63005.5th. AZN (104.1% growth in comparison with the indicator of 2013) by its own resources. Out of the total volume of scopes completed under main contract, the major parts consists of repair and capital construction operations worth 23169.8th.AZN and 56804.8 th. AZN.
In the first quarter of 2014, Oil and Gas Construction Trust completed construction and repair of number of oil-gas facilities which were commissioned and put into operation. E.g. : “Capital repair of piers #607, 1645, 2112 in “Oil Rocks” field”, “Capital repair of fire protection partition coating at DWJs on Guneshli field (DWJ #6, 14)”, “Capital repair of section between 73 and 74 km of Altiaghaj-Aghsu gas pipeline (1220 mm in diameter)”, “Reconstruction of the Garadagh Gas Compressor Station#2”, “Capital repair of 1200m long section of 700 mm in diameter Galmaz-Gazimammad gas pipeline (LineII) between 40 and 42 km, as well as other similar facilities that were commissioned in a timely manner.
The Oil and Gas Construction Trust currently continuous its successful operations at the following facilities: “Capital repair of 462 mm gas pipeline laid to Dashgil OSS located at Bulla Deniz field”, “Reconstruction of transportation-collection system of Absheronneft OGPD, “Repair of compressor station#4 of Absheronneft OGPD”, “Construction of high pressure water pipeline between sites 810-619 of Oil Rocks OGPD”, “Transfer of 700 mm in diameter main gas pipeline Zira-Digah-Garadagh (southern) from the area around “Puta” height in Garadagh district where the Naval Forces are planned to be settled”, “Construction of gas pipeline from Mingachevir gas distribution station toward Mingachevir thermal power station”, “Expansion of manifold system of 5 wells in the gas distribution station of Garadagh underground gas storage”, “Reconstruction of Gazimammad-Gazakh main gas pipeline 1020 mm in diameter (I line) on section 0-210 km (I complex 24km (Goychay area) and etc.
In general, in first quarter of 2014, the Oil and Gas Construction Trust installed various diameter oil-gas pipelines of with the following length:12.2 km on piers and jackets, 3.3 km of subsea lines, 27.86 km of onshore lines, etc. Also 82 km of onshore, 0.8 km of high voltage subsea cable lines and 0.55 km Air Transmission Lines were installed. Along with that, 6551 tons of steel structures were assembled, more than 13,000 welding joints were tested, production of reinforced concrete and concrete mixture totally reached 6957m3, construction-repair operations performed on piers with the length up to 760r.m. and site area of 3540 m2, and laid asphalt cover up to 44158 m2.
Trust also carries out timely and quality implementation of its commitments assumed as a part of targeted cooperation with different foreign and local companies. Such companies as McDermott, Saipem, İlk Inşaat Taahhüt Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited, Heavy Crane FZE, Nobel Oil, Caspian Pipe Coatings LLC, Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation SC, Millennium Challenge Georgian Fund and some other international companies were in close cooperation with Trust during the first quarter of 2014. Oil and Gas Construction Trust continues expanding business beyond the territory of our country. The representative office of Trust has been operating in Georgia since 2006.
Since the end of 2012, Trust has applied electric welding through automatic and semi-automatic machines for the first time in oil-gas industry of Republic. Utilization of new technologies in welding operations provides qualitative welding during construction of oil-gas pipelines, the growth of melting coefficient of welding materials, the quality and stability of mechanical properties of welded joints as well as the reduction of the physical strength of the welder (operator). Today, Trust is successfully applying electric welding through automatic and semi-automatic machines in all of its projects. The utilization of this type of welding is growing due to realization of the challenging projects.
On March 12, 2014, Caspian European Club and Caspian Energy International Media Group hosted the “International Caspian Energy Integration Award-2014” ceremony at JW Marriott Hotel Absheron Baku. Oil and Gas Construction Trust was announced as the winner in the nomination of “Construction Company of the Year in Oil-Gas Sector”.
