Oil and Gas Construction Trust within the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) is engaged in renovation of oil-gas fields, installation of technological oil-gas-field equipments, construction of main oil-gas-water pipelines, asphalt-concrete covers, hydro technical erections in offshore and onshore, jackets, offshore piers, gas compressor stations, oil reservoirs and other social projects. As Contractor Trust provides all kinds of services to customers in all regions of Azerbaijan, including in Gunashli and Oil Rocks fields, on Gum Adasy, Pirallahy, Chilov, Khara-Zira islands and the areas around them, in Sangachal-Duvanny territory and also in other different regions. Trust incorporates 15 boards of various profiles and Representative Office in Georgia.
Since 2002 Trust has been honored in different years with the international certificates of TSE-ISO-EN 9001, TSE-ISO-EN 14001, TSE ISG-OHSAS TS 18001 and TS EN ISO/IEC 17025.
It should be noted that, in the first quarter of 2013, Trust manufactured 4417.4 tons steel structure, installed 4112.9 tons steel and steel structure, performed construction-repair works at the 912 meter piers and 3.893 m² areas, laid asphalt cover on 96309 m² areas, constructed high-voltage power transmission lines (96.736 km), subsea pipelines (2.88 km), onshore pipelines (33.97 km) and pipelines on the piers and platforms (11.149 km). In addition, Trust had performed due to major construction in the amount of 60027.1 thousand manat (129% growth compared with the same period of the last year), due to major repairs in the amount of 21316.2 thousand manat (107.1% growth compared with the same period of the last year) and as a contractor 81343.3 thousand manat (122.4% growth compared with the same period of the last year) construction-installation works. On April 01, 2013 Trust employs 5225 people, 4025 of them are workers, 619 are managers, 542 are specialists and 39 are other employees. Due to final assessments of the first quarter, the average monthly salary comprised 939.89 manat.
It also carries out the timely and quality implementation of its commitments assumed as part of cooperation with different foreign and local organizations. In 2011, Oil and Gas Construction Trust took part in international tender on Construction of Baku Shipyard Project and announced as successful bidder. So, the contract between Oil and Gas Construction Trust (Main contractor) and Baku Shipyard LLC (Employee) was signed on October 19, 2011. The main objective of this project is to manufacture all necessary types of vessels for the Caspian Sea. Trust is planning to finish construction works for Baku Shipyard Project by September of this year.
Such companies as McDermott, Saipem, Ilk Insaat Taahhut Sanayi ve Ticaret LTD, Nobel Oil, Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation SC, Millennium Challenge Georgia Fund and some other international companies are closely cooperating with Trust.
Oil and Gas Construction Trust continues expanding business beyond the territory of our country. The representative office of Trust has been operating in Georgia since 2006. This office implements construction of oil and gas pipelines and other hydraulic erections in Georgia and performs infrastructure projects. By the order of SOCAR Georgia Gas LLC “Gasification of Talavani (Fakhrali) village of Bolnisi district” Project, “Construction of medium-pressure gas lines in Keshalo village of Marneuli district” Project and by the order of Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation SC “Construction of 29 km section of Gas Pipeline Abasha-Senaki” Project are now under completion.
SOCAR management always pays special attention to implementation of new technologies in construction works of oil and gas industry. With this purpose, the management and employees of Trust have visited different European countries and have participated in international oil and gas exhibitions and events. Construction of the 500 mm high pressure Dashgil-Kanizdagh gas pipeline was completed by the order of Azneft PU last year. The automatic and semi-automatic welding technologies were applied as part of this project for the first time. The introduction of such technologies develops the overall quality of implemented works and reduce physical burden of a welder (operator). Trust is now continuing implementation of automatic and semi-automatic welding in other construction and repair projects.
