Caspian Energy (CE): How would you assess company’s activity since the moment of its establishment?

Babashov Orkhan, General Director, Caspian Catering Service: Speaking about company’s activity, it is worth mentioning that since the moment of its establishment until now, Caspian Catering Service has been constantly working for improving the quality of products it uses and the skills of professional cooks engaged in this sphere. It also aspires toward establishment of full mutual understanding with its partners. 

As is known, business softening leads to failure. It is the rule that Caspian Catering Service has been following. Thereby, the company is developing and progressing rapidly by keeping abreast with the time. The experience we gain in our job helps us to solve arising issues and handle them just on the grassroots. Caspian Catering Service is currently providing both onshore and offshore services regardless of the location and structure of facilities. The number of projects we are engaged in and the sum of the company’s money turnover which increased by over ten times keep growing properly by leaving competitors behind in this market. 

We would like to note that our personnel that numbers more than 320 people is growing day by day and impacts positively on the employment rate of our Republic. 

CE: What could you tell about the mission of the company?

Babashov Orkhan: Our Company’s success formula is based on mutual understanding, mutual aid and mutually beneficial cooperation with our clients. It is certainly the basis we place priority on in our work. Without these three components it is impossible to imagine the business that we have been involved in for 5 years. 

Catering requires particular delicacy in issues concerning hygiene, safety and quality of service. For this reason our company tries to prevent shortcomings and treats its clients with care and precaution that are necessary for sound cooperation. Considering an opinion of every worker of the partner company, Caspian Catering Service tries to create home working conditions for each of them who are citizens of different countries from various continents. Meanwhile, observance of safety regulations, sanitary norms, hygiene labor and environmental protection in accordance with international standards form the basis of the activity that Caspian Catering Service carries out. The quality of services provided by Caspian Catering Service meets industrial criteria of public catering system and management ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 (Provision of Catering Stores and Personnel Services to the Offshore Industry) and OHSAS 18001:2007 (Provision of Catering Stores and Personnel Services to the Offshore Industry).

CE: What kind of infrastructure does the company possess now, and are there plans to expand it?

Babashov Orkhan: Caspian Catering Service has a considerably well-developed infrastructure for provision of services. We have two food products storages. One of them is located at the area of the Baku Deep Water Jackets Factory named after Heydar Aliyev. The second one is located in the port of Primorsk settlement. In near future we plan to construct two more storages in Alyat and Zygh settlements as well as a big centralized kitchen to be located within the territory of Baku city. Besides, the company possesses an autopark including 4 trucks, 1 passenger and 10 light motor vehicles. Caspian Catering Service also possesses up to 20 units of both mobile (offshore) and stationary refrigerator containers. 

CE: In which projects is the company currently involved in?

Babashov Orkhan: Starting from the first stage of its development the company was involved in numerous oil-gas related projects implemented in the Caspian Sea. Caspian Catering Service’s activity covered the whole coast of the Caspian sector (territorial waters of Azerbaijan, Makhachkala, Astrakhan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan) through participation in such project vessels as Pipe Lay Barge “Israfil Huseynov” (PLBG), Derrick Barge “Azerbaijan” (DBA), Diving Support Vessel “Akademik Tofig Ismaylov” (DSV), Crane Vessel “Gurban Abasov”, Crane Vessel “General Aliaga Shikhlinskiy”, Marine Vessels - Citadel, Topaz Arrow, Caspian Protector, Caspian Power, Caspian Provider, Caspian Supporter, Caspian Challenger, Caspian Server, DMS-2000, Ayla, Castle, Neftegaz-62, Neftegaz–58, Vadim Sayidov, Lyutoga, Aura, Neftegaz–64, Om, Nercha, Andoga, Irgiz, Araz, Khudaferin, Giz Galasi, Gobustan, Gulustan, CMS.

Among onshore projects, that our company provides services for, noteworthy are Baku Deep Water Jackets Factory Canteen MCCI, Baku Shipyard (SOCAR NGT) and Shipyard "Zikh".
