ORLI Service has been successfully working on the Azerbaijani market for 15 years and has gained wealth of experience in organizing events at any level able to meet the requirements of the most sophisticated customers. Today the company has the widest portfolio in holding and organizing events of any complexity. This year ORLI Service has been honored with the prestigious international premium –Caspian Energy Integration Award-2013 in the nomination of the Company of the Year in organization of events.

Caspian Energy (CE): How was the Orli Service created in Azerbaijan and have you been able to achieve the goals and tasks set?

Lali Palagashvili, General Director, ORLI Service: Our company is the first company in Azerbaijan, registered in the sphere of organization and management of events. The company was registered in 1998 and will mark its 15th birthday in December of this year. This segment of the market was not developed at that time and there was no company operating and registered in this sphere in Azerbaijan.

The very idea of creating the company came quite accidentally after watching a video of a wedding party held in the United States. Most doubted the success of this idea at that moment and even refused to register the company with such a charter.

But the time proved the success of our initiative. The first serious event was related to the presentation of the new car of famous German brand Mercesez–Benz which was held in Gulustan. The second serious event was the ceremonial opening of the Oasis hotel in Zagulba. We further started to receive orders for organization of events in different segments of business and all of them were successfully implemented.

Throughout 15 years of functioning on the market of event management services, our company has gained a colossal experience of work; the company employs the most creative and professionally versed specialists. Management of all kinds of events is a serious, responsible work for us. Today we fairly occupy the leading positions in this segment of the local market. Our company is able to organize unordinary corporate holidays, parties and presentations, state events on the high level and, certainly, the most luxurious and unforgettable wedding patries as well.

CE: Which directions and spectrum of services does the activity of Orli Service embrace?

Lali Palagashvili: The spectrum of services provided by Orli Service is rather broad today. Orli Service incorporates ORLI Tekstil and ORLI Flowers.

ORLI Textile designs and manufactures a personnel uniform of any complexity based on the client’s choice. At first the company thoroughly considers the brand, the office, the client’s location with respect to all interior solutions, corporate colors and the overall direction of the company’s business. The mini factories of the enterprise sew not only clothes for the company staff, advertising actions but also uniforms for all kinds of activities as well as wonderful curtains, tablecloths and the draperies of other textile production aimed at decoration of the event of the client-company.

The company also incorporates ORLI Flowers engaged in floristic activity including both the decoration of restaurants, offices, trade halls, wedding cars and creation of compositions, wedding booklets, boutonnieres, present baskets and so on. Floristry is among the main trends of our company because no festivity is possible without flowers. Flowers create an atmosphere of festivity, taking us to the world of fragrances, delicate shape and color.

ORLI Service is engaged in decoration and organization of any events directly. ORLI Service includes the whole spectrum of services from establishment of light equipment to setting podiums, as well as stages of different sizes for the events of different format. 

CE: What major organizational projects is the company engaged in, including the state events and events of commercial enterprises?

Lali Palagashvili:  We consider the organization and management of state events to be one of the responsible trends in services our company offers. The company accounts for numerous major state events.

Among the recent projects which I believe to be one of the most successful, I can mention the groundbreaking ceremony of the museum named after Heydar Aliyev and the municipality building in Sheki. The event was held with participation of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on September.  9th.This was a very complex project in the mountains but our clients think that its organization was brilliant.

The groundbreaking ceremony of the French lyceum with participation of President of France Nicolas Sarkozy during his visit to Baku in autumn 2011 was another important state project our company implemented. The structure of the building allowed both to receive the guests and host news conferences.

We also worked on such state projects as the opening of the Olympic complexes in Guba, Gazakh, Zagatala, Gusar, Shamakhi and other regions, the tinned-food factory in Balakan, a stadium in Zagatala, the brick and tinned-food  factories in Sheki. In addition, the company was engaged in organizing the groundbreaking ceremony of a new cement plant in Gazakh, the European volleyball championship in Guba and many other events.

The opening of the SOCAR petrol stations, KFC and the first Bentley salon in Azerbaijan are the projects organized with our support.

We also deal with the presentation and opening of the boutiques of famous brands, cooperate with the major companies in corporate event management. Our main aim in organization of a corporate festivity is to make a memorable event that will present plenty of emotions and a positive mood! Our specialists combine responsibilty, flexibility, reliability, art and professionalism; therefore even the ‘craziest’ ideas will be implemented accurately. The organization of corporate festivities is currently the main trend in the development of modern companies. CE: How do you evaluate the perspective development of the event management market segment?

Lali Palagashvili: I am optimistic about the development of the Azerbaijani market in all directions. I think development of any business depends on the political and economic conjuncture in the country. All projects are being implemented successfully thanks to the stability of our economy and competent business-building. The support to development of a private sector is a priority in the policy of our head of state. This is proven by the colossal volumes of  both foreign and domestic investments into Azerbaijan’s economy.

We have huge opportunities for business development. This is related to the spheres of event management where our company is involved. People begin to realize the difficulty of independent event management. This must be done by professionals who will arrange the event not as destined but as a joy.
