Anatoliy Blyznyuk, Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine

Caspian Energy (CE): Mr. Blyznyuk, how do you evaluate global trends of development of construction industry and how do they impact on development of the construction sector of Ukraine? What was the impact of the world crisis on the development of the construction sector of the country?

Anatoliy Blyznyuk, Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine: Global trends of development of the construction industry in conditions of the financial crisis make us develop mainly the domestic market of production of construction materials. If we manage to meet the demand of the entire country then we will invest state means into construction of large-scale infrastructure facilities more confidently.

Ukraine needs to update systems of life-support, transport infrastructure, construction of new industrial facilities in compliance with modern ecological requirements.

We have a big source of raw materials therefore the concept of development of domestic production of construction materials is the main task for successful modernization of infrastructure of our country. We constantly search for emplaced areas for placement of enterprises engaged in production of construction materials. Our task is to make Ukrainian construction materials cheaper and better than imported ones. As the result, the growth of export over the import is already observed today.
